  37. 'CARDIFF ITALIC' is a high quality font containing full hinting for correct  
  38. rendering at small point sizes and a total of 256 kerning pairs for correct  
  39. character spacing. It is supplied 'as is' and no waranty is implied or given  
  40. by the author. The font is usable for both body text and for headlines and  
  41. renders well at any size from 8 point upwards. It is based on a printed  
  42. specimen of hot metal type of 'TIMES' supplied by The Monotype Type Foundry.  
  43. The font contains a full range of upper and lower case letters together with  
  44. the figures 0 to 9 and a full range of punctuation. There are a limited  
  45. number of diacritics, some of which are non-standard as they have been  
  46. developed to take account of the additional characters necessary for printing 
  47.  
  48. in the Welsh language. It was hand traced in order to achieve a high quality  
  49. outline and compiled using Fontographer 3.5.2. Kerning information was  
  50. added using the shareware program pfmedit.exe. This font represents  
  51. aproximately 400 manhours of work.
